“The league has two rules: don’t wake the humans, don’t argue with the raven. Below is the version for lawyers.”
These are the terms of use for SMYK, made and published by Oleksandr Shapoval, an individual. By installing and playing the game you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not install it — or delete it if you already have. There are no other consequences.
Alongside these terms, the rules of the store you downloaded from also apply: the Apple Media Services Terms and Apple's standard licence agreement for the App Store, or the Google Play Terms of Service for Google Play.
We grant you a personal, free, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence: install the game on your own devices and play as much as you like. You may not sell, rent, resell, distribute copies of the game or its files, bundle it into another product, or reverse-engineer it, except where the law expressly allows it.
The game is free. There are no in-app purchases, no subscriptions and no advertising. If that ever changes, these terms and the privacy policy change first, and the game second.
Records, embers and purchases live in one file on your device. There is no cloud save, we hold no copy, and we cannot restore your progress. Deleting the game deletes it — see the support page for details.
The game's code, art, sound, music and text are © 2026 Oleksandr Shapoval, except where the credits page says otherwise. Third-party material is used under its own licences, all listed there.
The name SMYK, the logo and the characters belong to the developer. Recording video, streaming and posting screenshots is welcome, including on monetised channels. Passing the game off as your own is not.
The game is provided “as is”. We do our best to make it work on every supported device, but we do not promise that it will never crash or that it fits any particular purpose of yours. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from use of the game, including loss of game progress. The game is free, so total liability is limited to what you paid for it, which is nothing.
Nothing in these terms removes or limits the rights given to you by the consumer protection law of the country you live in.
The game suits any age: it has no purchases, no player-to-player communication and no outbound links. If you are a minor, show this page to a parent — there is nothing here to sign anyway.
These terms may be updated, for example if the game changes. The new version will appear on this page with a new date. The build already installed on your device keeps working exactly as it did.
These terms are governed by the law of Ukraine. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection given to you by the law of your country of residence, including the right to bring proceedings there.
